iPhone 3G specs

I just love headlines. Evidence of infineon’s SGOLD-3H chip support has been found in the latest iPhone beta firmware sent to selected developers. The specs for the chip can found here and pretty much define the max specs to be expected for the iPhone 3G. Or not, but everyone loves a good grounded rumour. The most important features are:
- Support of cameras up to 5 MPixel
- Support for video telephony, streaming, recording and playback
- 2 x MMC/SD interfaces, SDIO capable
- Multimedia extension interface (MMIC-IF) for support of high end
graphic accelerators
- 2 bi-directional digital audio interfaces (I2S) to connect audio
companion ICs and Bluetooth modules
- HSDPA – category 8 (7.2 Mbit/s)
- Option to switch off HSDPA to save power
